Hurricane - Tampico 140L Touring Kayak

NEW The Tampico 140 L (luxury version) is a lightweight thermoformed touring kayak offering a spacious cockpit, excellent tracking, front and rear bulkhead with plenty of storage and additional buoyancy. The immaculate exterior and padded adjustable seats are standard features of the Hurricane range.

 

Just as tough but lighter than Polyethylene and cheaper and tougher than Fibreglass, Kevlar or Carbon the Tampico 140 L addresses the need for a lightweight yet durable touring kayak.

 

Also available in the Sports version, the Tampico 140 S, which has a tighter cockpit, lower deck, padded thigh braces and a smaller, lumbar support style seat.  The hull is exactly the same as the 140 L.  Generally the Tampico 140 L is more suitable for beginners and the Tampico 140 S is more suitable for kayakers with some experience.

 

The Tampico 140 L and 140 S both come with a rudder.

The Expedition Sport is in many respects very similar to the Hurricane Tampico 140, with the exception that it is wider for added stability and has an extended cockpit for carrying fishing gear or a small passenger (child or dog).
