Sit-on-top kayaks are very versatile as most of them are self draining meaning that you can take them in the surf as well as flat water. If you are swamped by a wave the water simply drains out of the scupper holes and even if the wave capsizes you it is very easy to flip it over and hop back on. Also a very safe option for kids, dogs etc.

The RTM Tempo kayak is a near replica of the once popular Ocean Kayak Scupper pro - the only thing missing is the rudder! Like the Cobra Tourer and the Ocean Kayak Prowlers the hull shape of the Tempo really calls for a rudder because, unlike more manoeuvrable hull shapes like that of the RTM Disco and the DAG Midway, the Tempo is difficult to turn without a rudder.
Retro-fitting a rudder on the RTM Tempo has been requested of us but has proven to be difficult. Due to customer feedback we have decided to discontinue bringing in more of this model until such time as a rudder-version of the RTM Tempo is introduced. In the mean time we have a few of the angler version in stock which we will be selling for less 30%. These will be available at all our stores in NSW and QLD.
